Understanding Your Health
What Is Naturopathic Preconception & Fertility Care?
Fertility challenges can feel isolating — especially when conventional testing comes back "normal" but pregnancy remains elusive. Naturopathic medicine looks beyond standard markers to evaluate the full hormonal picture, gut health, nutrient status, and lifestyle factors that directly impact conception and a healthy pregnancy.
Dr. Savaya provides individualized support before and throughout pregnancy — helping women optimize their bodies for conception, address the root causes of infertility, and navigate recurrent miscarriage with compassionate, evidence-informed care.
"Every woman deserves to feel her best — whether it's restoring balance, reclaiming vitality, taking control of her hormonal health, or creating the family of their dreams."
— Dr. Juline Savaya, NMD

Common Signs
Symptoms Dr. Savaya Can Help With
These are some of the most common concerns that bring women to Dr. Savaya's practice for fertility and preconception support.
Irregular or Absent Cycles
Unpredictable ovulation makes timing conception difficult — naturopathic care helps regulate cycles naturally.
Recurrent Pregnancy Loss
Multiple miscarriages are heartbreaking and deserve thorough investigation — including inflammatory, immune, and hormonal factors.
Unexplained Infertility
When standard tests don't reveal a cause, a deeper look at hormones, gut health, and nutrients often uncovers answers.
Low Progesterone / Luteal Phase Issues
Short luteal phases or low progesterone can prevent successful implantation, even when conception occurs.
PCOS & Hormonal Imbalance
Insulin resistance, elevated androgens, and anovulation associated with PCOS can significantly impact fertility.
Preconception Preparation
Optimizing nutrition, hormones, and lifestyle before trying to conceive lays the foundation for a healthy pregnancy.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a fertility diagnosis to work with Dr. Savaya?
No. Many patients come to Dr. Savaya before they have any diagnosis, simply because they want to give their body the best possible preparation before trying to conceive. Preconception support is one of the most impactful things you can do for fertility outcomes and it does not require a prior workup.
Can Dr. Savaya support me during IVF or IUI?
Yes. Naturopathic fertility support works well alongside assisted reproductive technology. Dr. Savaya coordinates with your reproductive endocrinologist to optimize egg quality, uterine environment, and hormonal balance during treatment cycles.
Do you work with both partners?
Yes, and Dr. Savaya prefers it. Fertility is a two-person process, and outcomes are consistently better when both partners are evaluated and supported together. Dr. Savaya can work with both partners to assess contributions from each side, including sperm quality, hormonal imbalances, and lifestyle factors. This is exactly why the Fertility for Two package exists.
How soon before trying to conceive should I start working with Dr. Savaya?
Ideally 3 to 6 months before you plan to start trying. Egg development begins approximately 90 days before ovulation, so the health choices made in the months leading up to conception directly affect egg quality. That said, it is never too late to start.
What can I expect at my first women's health visit?
Dr. Savaya does not bill insurance directly. Many patients use HSA or FSA funds, and superbills can be provided for potential out-of-network reimbursement. In Arizona, lab orders can often be run through your insurance directly. In Michigan, labs are typically self-pay.
